I was using a bamboo skewer but thought it may do damage to my couplers. The Rix Uncoupler is a good alternative. I works most of the time but some couplers will just not release. But I'm happy with it. Also, it's good for picking up small screws and springs.

Cheap and easy to use since I do not want to do magnets underneath track, and now I don't have to grab and lift cars up to uncouple. Works great with Kadee!
