225 NCE / Single Output Electronic Circuit Breaker
Over-all an outstanding device and a must for all DCC systems. My reason for the 4 vs 5 star rating has to do with the status indicator LED - which is constant RED when no shorts detected and it is not tripped open. This indicator should be GREEN - NOT RED. On most layouts RED is used to indicate a siding, or a track block is OFF. RED is also the most common indicator when using Switch Machines, the switch is in the wrong direction for the siding/turn-out that is powered. For the remote LED indicator capability this should be configuted for a 3-wire LED for bi-polar duel color LEDs. To indicate GREEN when all is normal. When a short is detected, reverse the polarity to have the LED switch to RED when a short is detected/breaker tripped, then of course when the short clears/breaker closes, polarity switches back for the LED and it illuminates GREEN. Consistency in indicator/warning lighting is essential.
