Description
Scaletrains EE1458-3 ExactRail Evolution HO Scale Gunderson 6269 High-Cube Boxcar, GATX/GACX #10786 HO Scale (Picture may show a different road number).
In 1994, Gunderson introduced a 6269 cubic foot capacity boxcar. These cars were constructed with the paper industry in mind, where large rolls of paper travel best in well-conditioned, well-sealed cars. Gunderson delivered 500 cars to the BN, BAR, and HS in 1994 alone. By 2000, the combined delivery to other roads totaled 2,050 cars. Today, many of these cars have passed into second and third-hand ownership.
ExactRail® Evolution HO Scale Gunderson 6269 High-Cube Boxcars feature separately applied brake wheel, narrow-style draft boxes with shank wedges, striker castings, and full nut and bolt detail. They also feature wire grab irons, a finely crafted steel-nailable floor, and separately applied door tracks and door bars.
