Received shipment pretty quick. Installation was very easy. Decoder came with instructions that provided a lot of info. Will certainly order again.

Very easy to install. Just an extremely easy way to change an engine from DC to DCC one. Make sure you select the right decoder for your engine.

This is the third Digitrax DCC Decoder I have installed in a Kato engine. They are easy to install.

Simple installation, but had to tweak motor tabs to get decoder to work properly with locomotive. Digitrax tech support was very good. Answered me on SUNDAY!

I've been using these drop-in decoders for over 10 years and they are easy to install and work great. Digitrax has great customer support and often replaces one if they can not bring a seemingly dead one back to life. It also appears that they have improved the DN163 variants over time but locomotive running charcteristics have also improved so it's hard to tell where the improvement is coming from, but probably both. A great value, quality product and easy installation. The recent out of stock for these should confirm their popularity!
