Tom Johnson's Cass County freelance model railroad is one of the most photogenic examples of freelance excellence to be found!  We are pleased to bring the Cass County into the Home Shops family with this amazing car!

This small series of cars represents second-hand ownership by an Indiana short-line, the Cass County.  Originally designed by Pullman Standard for appliance service, the 40' Mini Hy-Cube was quickly replaced in appliance service by 60' Hy-Cube boxcars.  

The Cass County found a need for some of these cars to serve local farm implements customers.  Stenciled: "CAR ASSIGNED TO JOHN DEERE FARM IMPLEMENTS INDIANA DIVISION," these unique cars are designed to convey their intended role at the time of purchase.

As with all Tangent Scale Models rolling stock, these cars are designed and manufactured to the highest standards.  Included are metal wheels, moving bearing caps, metal crosswalks, and metal Kadee couplers.
